All clubs require a secretary, chairman and treasurer. If your club has players under the age of 18, the club will also be required to have a welfare officer. Any number of roles can be covered by the same person, but we do recommend having at least two different people listed on the club. The welfare officer will need to have completed a welfare officer workshop, a safeguarding children workshop and have a valid FA DBS check. For youth clubs, all these roles require an individual to have completed an online safeguarding for committee members course.
