Fixtures in the BBC Essex Senior Cup, Tolleshunt D'Arcy Memorial Cup and Essex Thames-Side Trophy go straight to a penalty shootout should the scores be level at full-time. The penalty format is in accordance with the Laws of the Game.

Fixtures in all other competitions will go to extra-time if the scores are level at full-time. If the two teams still cannot be separated at the end of extra time, a penalty shoot-out will take place in accordance with the Laws of the Game.
