For players under the age of 16, a parent or guardian with a valid email address will be required to be linked to their FAN record. Players who are 17 or 18 - even those participating in youth football - will require an email address to be attached to their record.
To attach a parent or guardian record to an existing FAN, you will need to click on the 'Player Registration' tab on the left-hand menu of your club's record on the Whole Game System. You will then need to click on the relevant player's name from the main list of players.
Once you are in the player's record, click the grey 'Add Parent/Guardian' button on the right-hand side of the screen. Search options will appear on the left-hand side of the screen; Enter the first name, last name, date of birth and FAN, if known, and click ‘Search’.
If the data inputted matches an existing FAN on the Whole Game System, you will get the option to confirm this is the correct person and link the parent/guardian to the child. If no matches are found you can create a FAN record for the parent or guardian. Once added, you will be able to view an icon from the main 'Player Registration' screen.
Adding a parent/guardian record is a one-off process that allows a club to request consent online, gives them access to Matchday and also gives the parent/guardian ownership of their child's record as long as the parent/guardian record has an email address assigned.
For a visual representation of the process, please see the attached one-page guidance document at the bottom of the screen.
